Common Mans Common Life

Its easy refuge, to just give up and fall,
but a part in me, still stands tall;

I don't know if it's my ego, or some hope,
if I am trying too much, or is it just out of scope;

There are a hundred things right, but a few too wrong,
seeking to hunt them down, to keep standing strong;

I am not aiming for perfection, I know its a myth,
just trying to mend what's broken, restoring what's amiss;

I know I am not special, nor is my life,
but to feel alive, I have to keep up with the tide;

To go a step further, to cross another mile,
to clear all hurdles, to go on feel agile;

I count my blessings, every single day,
to boost my morale and be steadfast in every way;

I am just a common man, living a common life,
dreaming common dreams, struggling common strife.
